Especially after any therapy or healing session...
I am often asked after completing a healing session or relaxing therapy, such as 'How can I continue to keep feeling this way, such as - relaxed, balanced and grounded?
Many of my clients come to see me due to there Stress and negative emotions that have a big impact on the bodies energy and overall well-being. Prolonged stress can lead to physical symptoms such as headaches, muscle tension, and fatigue. It can also weaken the immune system, making you more susceptible to illnesses. Negative energy can also manifest in emotional and mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. It's important to manage stress and negative energy through having healing therapies but also focusing after your healing session on doing the things that bring you happiness and joy practices such as fun exercise, relaxing meditation, and self-care to maintain a healthy energy and healing balance.
I always recommend that you focus on the things that you love and want to do, much more, to do it daily and to live life in happiness and joy.
We know that with the fast-paced lifestyle and constant pressures to succeed, it can be difficult to maintain both physical and mental wellness. Social and environmental factors can also impact our well-being, leading to stress, anxiety, and other health issues. Despite the challenges, it's important to prioritise self-care and seek support when needed to strive towards happiness and a healthy lifestyle.
The way that you think and the things that you fill your mind with greatly influences your mental well-being and general happiness and fulfilment in life.
Mental self-care involves doing things that help you to stay mentally healthy and happy, keeping your mind relaxed and focused on what you are doing in the moment, without overwhelming yourself with too much stuff all at the same time. Doing activities that you love that mentally stimulate you and that you enjoy and learn from in positive healthy ways, positive thoughts and practising self-compassion and acceptance, helps you to create a healthier inner dialogue and then a healthier, happier body and energy.
Give yourself permission to relax and enjoy what it is that you are doing - relaxation is an investment in yourself rather than a waste of time. Take time out for yourself to meditate, daydream, switch off and give yourself a break to be able to relax and let go for a while. Giving yourself permission to relax is really powerful and can really help your mind to rest, relax and let go of the constant go, go, go... You will be way more useful to yourself and others when you do this more often for yourself.
There are a few things you can do to keep your emotional state balanced and well after a healing session.
Firstly, try to maintain a sense of mindfulness throughout your day. This can involve taking a few minutes to meditate, practising deep breathing, or simply taking time to check in with yourself throughout the day.
Additionally, it can be helpful to engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation, such as spending time in nature, practising yoga or other forms of exercise, or spending time with loved ones.
Finally, be sure to listen to your body and give yourself the rest and self-care you need, whether that means taking a nap, eating nourishing foods, or engaging in other forms of self-care.
Here are some easy activities that you can do anytime to help you with your mental self-care needs for a healthy mindset and life:
Do something that makes you happy
Start a gratitude journal - appreciate the little and big things in life that make you happy.
Start journaling in a note book your thoughts and feelings, spending sometime daily or weekly writing down how you are feeling can help you to feel so much better having expressed them.
Listen to uplifting music
Watch a really interesting documentary that you are interested in or passionate about the subject and that makes you think
Get creative - make art, write, play music, sing, make something that you want to create, it can be anything!
Accept yourself for who you are and be the best version of you, set healthy expectations and trust yourself and the journey that you are on.
Surround yourself with positive people and people who make you feel good and lift you up.
Give back to others - small acts of kindness to others can make you feel happy and appreciated.
Talk about your feelings can help us to process our thoughts and feelings, so that we can move on from them. I personally find it helpful, especially after a healing session to write down in a journal or a book or just on a piece of paper - how I am feeling and my thoughts on things that I have in my life. Or you can record yourself talking about your feelings and the thoughts that you have.
Review your life regularly, sitting down every few months and writing down what you have been doing in your life. Such as what is working, and what isn't working, can be really beneficial and help to bring about changes that are needed for the future months ahead that can really help you to move forward and develop in life.
Get clear on your priorities, goals and values, what is important to you? Is key to dealing with indecisions and unsure of who we are and what we want.
Learn something new, it can be anything, even something that is out of your comfort zone. This will help you to grow and stretch your natural abilities and learn some new ones along the way.
Exercise as much as you can. Even a little can help with your mental health and wellbeing. Exercise is fantastic at getting your energy moving, and it can be really healing and balancing for your whole body and mind. Engaging in regular exercise or physical activity to boost endorphins and improve overall health and feel good factor. Exercise is great for helping you to feel really good. Exercise and move your body everyday. Avoid sitting for long periods of time. Try interrupted sitting, the need to keep getting up every 10- 20 minutes and move around, somewhere and to do something else other than sitting...
Become committed and dedicated to yourself and what is important to you and what matters.
Surround yourself with positive people and people who make you feel good and lift you up.
Give back to others - small acts of kindness to others can make you feel happy and appreciated.

First, prioritise getting enough sleep each night. Aim for at least 7-8 hours of sleep to help your body and mind recharge.
Second, eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to fuel your body with the necessary nutrients. That tastes good and is healthy and nourishing for your body and soul.
Third, practice stress-reducing techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, or yoga.
Finally, make time for activities that bring you joy and fulfilment, whether it's spending time with loved ones, pursuing hobbies, or volunteering in your community.
To do more of what you love, start by identifying your passions and priorities. Make time in your schedule to devote to these activities and set achievable goals to work towards.
It's also important to eliminate distractions and prioritise self-care to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Don't be afraid to say no to things that don't align with your passions, and set boundaries around your time with others and what you do, and priorities and focus on what brings you joy. Remember, doing what you love can increase happiness and overall well-being and positive energy.
Here are a few things you can try to help you find what you love and what makes you happy and fulfilled:
Explore your interests: Take time to try out different hobbies, activities, and experiences. This can help you discover what you enjoy doing and what you are good at.
Take personality tests: There are many free online personality tests that can help you understand your strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. This can guide you towards careers or activities that suit you.
Talk to people: Reach out to people who are doing things that interest you and ask them about their experiences. This can give you insights into what it takes to succeed in different fields.
Be open-minded: Sometimes, what you love may be something you never considered before. Keep an open mind and be willing to try new things. You never know what you might discover.
Finding what personally relaxes you and makes you happy is key and super important for your health and wellbeing. Try some new things to discover what you really like and what really makes you happy. You will never know unless you try.
Engaging in activities that you enjoy can have a positive impact on your overall well-being, including your energy levels. When you're doing something you love, your brain releases dopamine and endorphins, which are chemicals that can boost your mood and provide a sense of pleasure, happiness and satisfaction. This can help reduce stress and fatigue, giving you more energy to tackle other tasks. Additionally, doing what you love can help you feel more fulfilled and motivated, which can also contribute to increased energy levels and brings more balance and harmony to your body and in your life.
Always be mindful of the energies you are feeding yourself, from the food you eat, to what you do, and say about yourself and others and how you are spending your time on things - are they nourishing you or depleting you and your energies ...
This will help you to keep your high vibrational energy from your healing session to last longer and to create new healthy habits that will benefit your health and wellbeing moving forwards...
