Wellbeing is the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy. Modern living and digital overload can fill our days with data smog and stress as we strive to live our best lives. The result? We don't make time to step back and re-focus on what really matters.
Our Traditional Swedish Wellbeing Massage is a classic massage and the most popular massage, helping you to reconnect to the beauty, serenity, abundance and sensorial delights of peacefulness and calm. Helping to elevate our mental and physical wellbeing by stepping into tranquility, which keeps our inner resources strong and happiness levels high.
This relaxing basic Swedish maintenance massage is perfect for those looking to maintain their bodies health and well-being.
Using Traditional organic nourishing oils, the massage consists of light to medium massage strokes and pressure that works on all areas of the body, allowing the body to naturally detoxify, rejuvenate and to release tension and general day-to-day aches and pains. Perfect for ongoing weekly or monthly sessions.
A more superficial massage for maintenance and people with very minimal, if no tension.
Perfect to have AFTER a course of 6 or 12 Deep Tissue Massages, (If you do have more need of a deeper massage and concerns of tension) to help maintain either weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
The various techniques are designed to improve your circulation, soothe your muscles and allow you to feel more relaxed. This massage uses softer strokes on the more delicate parts of your body and medium strokes where the muscles are thicker.
If you are looking for a more deeper Massage, I recommend my Deep Tissue Massage for those who want a more targeted massage which this is not. My Deep Tissue Massage is deeper and works on the deeper tissue structures of the body. Which is intended for those who prefer a more isolated, deep and direct massage.
This style of massage is most suited to a general relaxing massage and not adequate for the specific deep tissue massage that many of todays clients expect. If you wish to have a deeper, more targeted massage - A Deep Tissue Massage is highly recommended.
This Traditional Swedish Wellbeing massage is great for newbies and for regular maintenance massage of a healthy body.

What to Expect in a Traditional Swedish Wellbeing Massage:
Your therapist will ask you some questions regarding your health, wellbeing and lifestyle to work out the best massage style session for you and your health and wellbeing goals for the session. Please let your therapist know of any health or medical conditions you may have and tell them if you are - or think you might be pregnant or have any allergies.
Everybody is different and every massage is also different and fully customised to your needs.
The therapist will then ask you to lay down under the blanket or sarong provided. Using natural traditional oils such as jojoba, flax-seed, coconut or grape-seed oil that are organic and paraben and sulphate free over the body or specify areas to be treated. Using a series of strokes and techniques specific to the body part and what you want to achieve.
After the massage you can probably feel quiet relaxed and maybe even sleepy. Make sure that you give yourself plenty of time to relax and unwind back home, without the need to rush off to another appointment, picking kids up, going back to work, or going to get shopping. Highly recommend that you allow some time before your massage, and a lot of time after your message back home, so that you can relax and enjoy the many benefits that massage gives to your body and mind. And to savour the feeling of having your muscles gently stretched and smoothed out.
Hot Tips Before Your Massage:
-
Book your massage on your day off or at the end of your day so that you don't have to rush off anywhere or do anything, such as picking kids up, going shopping, going back to work or heading out drinking or partying in the evening.
-
It's a great idea to have a warm shower before your massage as it warms and relaxes your muscles preparing them for an even deeper and more relaxing experience.
-
Drink plenty of fresh water days running up to your massage, for your body to be fully hydrated and allows your muscles to be relaxed and to get the most beneficial results from your massage
-
Avoid any heavy meals at least 2-3 hours before your massage, as this will make you feel bloated and sluggish, rather than relaxed and can make massage benefits less so. Eat a very light meal 2 hours before your massage and after your massage eat a light meal, not a heavy meal.
-
Dress the part, come wearing some loose comfortable trousers, top and shoes so that you can feel comfortable putting them back on after your massage, so that comfortable feeling lasts a little bit longer after your massage.
-
Do all exercise and strenuous activities before your massage, not after your massage.
-
Avoid stress and stressful situations as much as possible before your massage and after. If you know it stresses you out to talk to your mother on the phone, don't talk to them right before or after your massage.
